Cold War Veterans annual meeting in Washington, DC

The American Cold War Veterans will be holding their annual meeting in Washington, Dc
April 28th, 2010 in the Dirksen Senate Building Room SD-G1 from 1:30PM to 4:00PM

Items on the agenda include: Progress on the Cold War Service Medal, the designation of
a specific day to celebrate Cold War Veterans Recognition Day, and eventual placement
of a memorial dedicated to Cold War Veterans to be placed in our nation's capital.

Tentatively scheduled to speak is Mr. Lee Edwards of the Heritage Foundation and the Global Museum on Communism. He plans to speak on the over 300 lives lost during the
Cold War.

Hotel accommodations are at the Best Western Rosslyn Iwo Jima 1501 Arlington Blvd
Arlington, VA 22209. Phone number 703-524-500 please make sure to mention American Cold
War Veterans in order to receive the group rate $149.99(plus tax). Reservations must
be made no later that Friday April 16.

Following the general meeting we will plan to travel to Arlington National Cemetery,
where we will hold a brief ceremony in honor of the Forgotten Heroes of the Cold War.
